Nie wiem, czy rok 2020 jest rokiem granicznym, po którym nie wrócimy do wcześniejszej normalności. Przypuszczam, że zapamiętamy go jako rok zamknięcia i poczucia straty, w którym każdy musiał coś poświęcić. Oczywiście, można się było zakochać, wygrać w totka albo zostać ojcem trojaczków, ale sama rzeczywistość dookoła nikomu nie przymnożyła poczucia szczęścia.

Szczęście, jak wiadomo, nie jest stacją docelową, tylko sposobem podróży. W tym roku doświadczyliśmy w tej podróży wielu niedogodności, ale chyba każdy może dopatrzeć się zmian na dobre, czegoś co powinno zostać z nami na dłużej. Marnuję mniej jedzenia, spędzam więcej czasu z rodziną, wydatki na głupoty ograniczyłem do błahostek z AliExpress i ciągle nic nie zdołało mnie przekonać do zakupu dresu. Możemy się różnić w swoich upodobaniach, ale w tej szerszej rzeczywistości dookoła widzę zmiany, które warto by było zachować.

Pierwsza – zdalne nauczanie. Zgoda, różnie wygląda, a proces angażuje w równym stopniu nauczycieli i uczniów, co rodziców. Szkoda by było jednak, gdybyśmy zrezygnowali z niego z końcem pandemii. Warto utrzymać je choćby na jeden, może dwa dni w tygodniu. Zdalna szkoła rozwija nie tylko proste kompetencje cyfrowe, czyli umiejętność obsługi komputera i podstawowych aplikacji (także wśród nauczycieli), ale od razu pokazuje ich zastosowanie w codziennym życiu, a przede wszystkim uczy współpracy w grupie poprzez sieć. Te trzy rzeczy: znajomość technologii, zdolność wykorzystania jej w praktyce, przygotowanie do efektywnej pracy w cyfrowym środowisku to gwarancja powodzenia w świecie algorytmów, sztucznej inteligencji, zrobotyzowanych fabryk i autonomicznych urządzeń, w którym praca będzie oparta na wysokiej kulturze technicznej albo nie będzie jej wcale.

Druga – telemedycyna. Nie mylmy jej z tym, co widzimy obecnie, a co w rzeczywistości służy maskowaniu problemów z dostępem do lekarzy. To, na czym można budować coś nowego, to akceptacja dla leczenia na odległość. Brak lekarzy będzie się pogłębiał, szybko się starzejemy, żyjemy coraz dłużej i potrzebujemy dostępu do specjalistów. Urządzenia telemedyczne, te w smartwatchach (czujnik upadku, proste EKG, pulsoksymetr, a wkrótce zapewne kolejne) i specjalizowane urządzenia diagnostyczne, jeśli odpowiednio wykorzystać je w całym systemie ochrony zdrowia, mogą zdziałać cuda. Nie mówiąc o diagnostyce wspartej sztuczną inteligencją, cyfrowych konsultacjach specjalistycznych i robotach chirurgicznych. To nasza szansa.

Trzecia – seniorzy za pan brat z technologią. W pandemii wiele osób starszych trafiło na szybki kurs technologiczny albo raczej rozpoznanie bojem. Komputer czy smartfon stały się konieczne dla kontaktu z wnukami, pomocne w wizytach lekarskich czy sprawach urzędowych i niezbędne przynajmniej w części innych spraw codziennych. Mam wrażenie, że dziś to nie seniorzy odstają technologicznie, to świat technologii zdaje się nie nadążać za nimi i ich potrzebami (aplikacje bankowe z literkami, których nie widać nawet w okularach: hej tam w ING Banku, obudźcie się!, bo nawet Marek Kondrat nie jest już w stanie tego przeczytać).

Czwarta – pieniądz elektroniczny. Z tym było u nas całkiem nieźle przed pandemią. Ale istniały strefy wolne od kart kredytowych, na przykład na bazarze, gdzie kupuję owoce. Dziś cyfrowi liderzy wśród handlujących przyjmują nawet BLIK-a na telefon.

Piąta – akceptacja dla cyfrowych narzędzi. Świat nie znosi próżni. Tego pandemia nie mogła zmienić. Podpis elektroniczny, umowa na odległość, konto w banku na selfie. Przed pandemią nie do zrobienia. Nagle okazało się, że barier nie ma, no, chyba że w naszych głowach. Konto na selfie pewnie z nami zostanie. Ciekawsze jest pytanie, co z blokadą w głowach?
