Roboty szturmują bez rozbłysków działek laserowych i głuchych tąpnięć pocisków anihilacyjnych. Te software’owe, powstające na platformach Robotic Process Automation, od kilku lat po cichu przejmują zajęcia pracowników biurowych. Jednak boty wyposażone w sztuczną inteligencję będą miały dużo większe możliwości. Najmocniej bowiem zagrażają pracownikom wykształconym i doświadczonym, nawet na stanowiskach wymagających podejmowania decyzji.

Tymczasem już 80 proc. dyrektorów ankietowanych przez Deloitte’a w ubiegłym roku przyznało, że ich firmy już zaczęły korzystać z RPA, a kolejne 16 proc. chce je wprowadzić w ciągu najbliższych trzech lat. Profesor warszawskiej SGH Andrzej Sobczak, który od kilku lat prowadzi w swoim serwisie robonomika.pl zestawienie polskich firm wykorzystujących roboty programowe, stwierdził na początku tego roku, że dalsze aktualizowanie tej listy stało się bezsensowne, bo obejmuje ona już kilkaset przedsiębiorstw, a systemy RPA stają się powszechne niczym Excel. A skoro RPA wsparte przez mechanizmy AI staje się właśnie częścią Windows, to można śmiało powiedzieć, że roboty programowe zawitały pod strzechy.

Wkraczamy w erę hiperautomatyzacji. W ten sposób Gartner określa trend, w którym boty zyskują większe możliwości dzięki wykorzystaniu sztucznej inteligencji i uczenia maszynowego. Takie połączenie sprawia, że roboty są w stanie wykonywać nie tylko proste zestawy powtarzalnych czynności, ale także obsługiwać złożone procesy, w których dokonuje się ocen i podejmuje decyzje. Gartner ocenia, że hiperautomatyzacja już w roku 2020 stała się numerem jeden wśród strategicznych kierunków rozwoju przedsiębiorstw i do roku 2024 pozwoli im zmniejszyć koszty działania o 30 proc.

Najważniejszym wskaźnikiem opłacalności wprowadzenia bota jest Full-Time Equivalent (FTE), czyli ekwiwalent etatów. W początkach robotyzacji łatwo było przyjąć punkt widzenia entuzjastów RPA, którzy twierdzili, że roboty uwalniają ludzi od żmudnych zadań i pozwalają im zająć się ciekawszymi rzeczami. W dobie hiperautomatyzacji trudno o taki optymizm. Roboty pną się do góry po drabinie stanowisk.

Badacze z Uniwersytetu Stanforda i Instytutu Brookingsa porównali frazy, jakie pojawiają się w ofertach pracy i wnioskach patentowych z zakresu AI, szukając identycznych sformułowań, takich jak „przygotowywanie rekomendacji” albo „opracowywanie prognoz”. Z analiz jasno wynika, że grupą, w którą najsilniej uderzają roboty, są obecnie dobrze wykształceni i opłacani pracownicy na stanowiskach technicznych i kontrolnych. Porównując osoby z wyższym i ze średnim wykształceniem, w przypadku tych pierwszych ryzyko (albo szansa) zastąpienia przez robota jest cztery razy wyższe.

Skoro roboty są już w stanie zastąpić ludzi w przygotowywaniu rekomendacji czy prognoz, to nie potrzebują śmiercionośnych laserów, żeby nas pokonać. Przed pandemią analitycy McKinseya przewidywali, że do 2030 roku 37 mln Amerykanów straci swoje miejsca pracy na rzecz automatów. W trakcie pandemii ta prognoza została podniesiona do 45 mln. Najpierw więc roboty przyjdą po Piotrka z księgowości… ale Jarek z działu prawnego też może już się pakować.
