Wydawcy prasowi przeszli w ostatnich latach ogromną metamorfozę. W uproszczeniu, najpierw strategią było mobile first, a obecnie digital only. Teraz nad podobną transformacją zastanawiają się inne biznesy ze szklanych biurowców: czy wdrażać home office first, czy od razu remote only? Najpierw zrobił to Twitter, potem Spotify, a jutro i w kolejnych dniach spodziewać się można coming outu jeszcze innych znanych brandów. Lawina powoli się rozkręca. Dlaczego? Bo może. Bo od dawna ludzie używali narzędzi pozwalających na pracę zdalną, więc niewiele trzeba było modyfikować w metodologii pracy. Bo pracuje się więcej – nie ma przerw na kawę czy papieroska. Bo, w konsekwencji, efektywność biznesowa jest większa – trudno odejść od kompa, bo wszyscy czegoś chcą na już, a i same narzędzia trzymają pracownika na łańcuchu.

Cóż, trzeba się powoli przyzwyczajać do pracy zdalnej by default. Ale zanim to nastąpi, w mainstreamie czeka nas okres przejściowy, czyli „trochę w domu, trochę w biurze”. Jak on będzie wyglądał? Popuśćmy wodze fantazji… Po pierwsze, stanowiska pracy będą rozmieszczone dwa metry od siebie, w systemie hot desków, czyli za każdym razem pracownik będzie siedział gdzie indziej. A ponieważ nadeszły czasy pracy rotacyjnej, to będzie wykonywał swoje zadania na przykład jeden tydzień w domu, drugi w biurze. Trzeba będzie synchronizować kalendarze, tak aby móc się zobaczyć z kolegami z pracy. A menadżerowie będą musieli tak ustawiać harmonogramy pracy, aby dany team mógł przynajmniej czasem popracować razem.

Po drugie, skoro już teraz pracujemy więcej i dłużej („nadgodziny to normalka, żeby zrobić swoją robotę” – jak powiedziała mi niedawno koleżanka z korpo), to pójdźmy na całość. A zatem wyobraźmy sobie biuro otwarte przez 24 godziny, albo przynajmniej, jak Żabka, od 6:00 do 23:00. W weekendy również. Wpadasz, kiedy chcesz albo jak już nie potrafisz wytrzymać w domu.

Po trzecie, trend home office, wedle którego przystosowywaliśmy dom na funkcje biurowe, być może odwróci się w kierunku office-like-home. Skoro w domu masz sajgon, to oddechu będziesz szukał w biurze, które zacznie przypominać wypasione wille. Na wybrany wieczór firma udostępni Tobie (i Twoim znajomym) swoją przestrzeń – wyposażoną w kuchnię, salę kinową, saunę i pokój zabaw dla dzieci. Tak, żebyś mógł odetchnąć od pracy, zrelaksować się i od poniedziałku ruszyć z nową energią. 

Po czwarte, chodzenie do biura na co dzień będzie pewnego rodzaju wyróżnieniem i nobilitacją. Spotkania w większych grupach będą podkreśleniem większej wagi danego tematu.

Po piąte, normą staną się higienistki na etacie. Dotychczas światło w biurowcu o 1:00 w nocy oznaczało zwykle personel sprzątający. Teraz będzie on pracował w ciągu dnia – dezynfekował łazienki, co godzinę potwierdzając to na kartce, i uzupełniał na bieżąco płyny dezynfekujące, maseczki, rękawiczki itd.

Po szóste, salki konferencyjne ze szpalerem krzeseł zastąpią tzw. huddle roomy, czyli mniejsze pomieszczenia na maksymalnie kilka osób. Będą na każdym kroku w wielu opcjach – od „budek telefonicznych” do „przedziałów w pociągu”. Natomiast własne „akwarium” – najlepiej z widokiem na jakąś przestrzeń – będzie w końcu oznaczało, że jesteś naprawdę kimś ważnym i wygrałeś życie.
