]]> W IV kw. 2015 r. przychody EMC wyniosły 7 mld dol., podobnie jak rok wcześniej. Poszczególne spółki pokazały jednak różne wyniki. Podczas gdy VMware oraz Pivotal raportowały wyraźny wzrost sprzedaży (odpowiednio o 10 proc. i 25 proc.), obroty EMC Information Infrastructure spadły o 4 proc. Zysk w całym kwartale spadł o 32 proc. z 1,14 mld dol. przed rokiem do 771 mln dol. W całym roku zysk EMC stopniał o 28 proc., z 2,9 mld dol. do 2,1 mld dol., przy przychodach wielkości 24,7 mld dol., o ok. 300 mln dol. większych niż w 2014 r.

EMC wyjaśnia niższe profity trwającą restrukturyzacją. Jej celem jest zmniejszenie wydatków, wykorzystanie synergii i poprawa efektywności działania korporacji. Według dyrektora finansowego EMC, Zane Rowe, dzięki zmianom koszty zostaną ścięte o 850 mln dol. Dyrektor zapewnia, że w IV kw. ub.r. już udało się zaoszczędzić 50 mln dol.

Zgodnie z umową zawartą w ub.r., EMC zostanie przejęte przez Della kosztem 67 mld dol. Finalizacja transakcji jest spodziewana do października br.
