]]> Wsparcie techniczne dla wszystkich wersji „Siódemki” zakończy się 13 stycznia 2015 r. Po tej dacie jeszcze przez 5 lat będzie dostępne wsparcie dodatkowe, obejmujące aktualizację zabezpieczeń systemu.

Również 13 stycznia przyszłego roku zakończy się wsparcie techniczne dla Windows Server 2008. Dla starszej wersji – Windows Server 2003, który jest nierzadko używany w małych firmach, nie będzie już nawet wsparcia rozszerzonego, co ma nakłonić użytkowników do przejścia na nowości, jak Windows Server 2012 R2 czy Azure. 

Już w połowie października 2014 r. zakończy się wsparcie dla niektórych Service Packów, co dotyczy m.in. Office’a 2010 z SP 1 i Share Pointa 2010 z SP1. Aby nadal otrzymywać aktualizacje bezpieczeństwa dla tych produktów, użytkownicy powinni przesiąść się na następną wersję Service Packa.
