]]> EPA Systemy wprowadziła do oferty biznesowy serwer sieciowy QNAP – model TS-859U-RP. Urządzenie przeznaczone jest do montażu w szafie rack o wysokości obudowy 2U. Pomieści do ośmiu dysków twardych, zarówno 3,5 jak i 2,5 cala. W serwerze zostały zainstalowane redundantne zasilacze.

 

W TS-859U-RP zaimplementowano procesor dual-core Intel Atom D510 1.66GHz CPU i 1GB DDRII RAM. Serwer ma bogate funkcje sieciowe. Dwa porty Gigabit LAN można skonfigurować na siedem różnych sposobów włącznie z: failover (jeżeli jeden z portów sieciowych ulegnie uszkodzeniu to drugi automatycznie przejmuje jego funkcjonalność), load-balancing (zwiększa całkowitą przepustowość poprzez agregację łącz) oraz obsługą dwóch niezależnych podsieci. Na serwerze można skonfigurować tryby RAID JBOD, RAID 0/1/5/6/5+ hot spare/6+ hot spare. Dodano też funkcję zwiększenia pojemności RAID oraz zmianę konfiguracji RAID podczas pracy serwera bez utraty już zapisanych danych. TS-859U-RP umożliwia skonfigurowanie funkcji iSCSI, która w prosty sposób pozwala rozszerzyć pojemność serwera poprzez podłączenie do tej samej sieci innego serwera QNAP, pełniącego funkcję wirtualnego wolumenu.

TS-859U-RP posiada certyfikat VMware’s vSphere4 (ESX 4.0
