Seagate zwiększył marże o ponad 30 procent

W IV kwartale 2011 r. Seagate dostarczył na rynek 47 mln napędów wobec blisko 51 mln szt. w III kwartale. O jedną trzecią wzrosła marża producenta.

WD: problemy z dyskami potrwają do III kwartału

W IV kw. 2011 r. producent dostarczył na rynek 28,5 mln napędów, wobec 52,2 mln szt. rok wcześniej. Pełne zdolności produkcyjne firma powinna odzyskać do końca września br.

WD wznowił produkcję dysków w Tajlandii

Producent poinformował, że przed terminem wznowił produkcję dysków twardych w Tajlandii. Nadal jednak przewiduje, że sytuacja na światowym rynku nie wróci do normy w I kw. 2012 r. W kończącym się kwartale popyt przewyższy podaż o 50-60 mln szt.

Problemy mogą potrwać kilka kwartałów

Zapytaliśmy największych producentów i dystrybutorów dysków twardych, jak ich zdaniem skutki powodzi w Tajlandii wpłyną na sytuację na polskim rynku. Z udostępnionych danych i komentarzy wynika, że ze względu na spadek globalnej produkcji pewne jest ograniczenie dostaw, co przekłada się na wyższe ceny. Problemy nie skończą się w 2011 r.

Wzrost cen i problemy z dostawami – taki jest efekt katastrofalnej powodzi w Tajlandii. Według iSuppli dyski twarde podrożeją o 10 procent. Mogą być kłopoty z produkcją notebooków.
