Kolejnym etapem jest rozwój start upów we współpracy z dużymi firmami (akceleracja). Dzięki temu zyskają one nie tylko wsparcie finansowe, lecz także kompetencje. Na ten etap ogłoszono konkurs na pilotażowy program o nazwie Scale UP, realizowany przez PARP. Jego budżet to 35 mln zł. Konkurs potrwa od 15 lipca do 15 września.

Program przewiduje też tzw. drugą i trzecią rundę inwestycyjną. W tym czasie wsparcie nowych firm mają zapewnić inwestorzy. Środki mają posłużyć zwłaszcza badaniom i opracowaniu rozwiązań na potrzeby dużych przedsiębiorstw, które też mają skorzystać na projekcie. Dzięki innowacjom duże polskie firmy, w tym spółki skarbu państwa, mają zwiększać swoją konkurencyjność nie tylko na krajowym rynku. Pomysłodawcy projektu chcą także przyciągnąć innowacyjne rozwiązania z zagranicy, w celu wzmocnienia państwowych spółek.
