Cloudscaling oferuje rozwiązania IaaS (infrastruktura jako usługa) dla chmury prywatnej i hybrydowej. Jest jednym z założycieli fundacji otwartego oprogramowania OpenStack, opracowało system operacyjny Open Cloud System (OCS). Dzięki przejęciu EMC może powiększyć ofertę infrastruktury chmurowej opartej na oprogramowaniu OpenStack.

Z kolei Maginatics specjalizuje się w zarządzaniu i zabezpieczaniu danych w chmurze prywatnej, publicznej i hybrydowej. EMC zamierza zintegrować rozwiązania Maginaticsa w swoim oprogramowaniu zabezpieczającym, w pamięciach masowych i usługach.  

Spanning to dostawca usług tworzenia kopii zapasowych i odtwarzania danych dla aplikacji chmurowych. W I poł. 2015 r. według EMC zostanie opracowane rozwiązanie zabezpieczające Office 365.  

W tym tygodniu EMC wystartowało z ofertą chmury hybrydowej, obejmującą sprzęt, oprogramowanie i usługi. EMC Enterprise Hybrid Cloud jest kompatybilna z chmurą publiczną opartą na OpenStack, VMware vCloud Air, Microsoft Azure i Amazon Web Services.
