Jak na razie większa część operatorów wykorzystuje technologię FDD-LTE, prognozowany jest natomiast wzrost znaczenia TDD-LTE m.in. w Europie Północnej i Wschodniej.

Ceny i dostępność nowych wersji Galaxy S4 i S4 mini w Polsce nie są jeszcze znane.

Według Strategy Analytics, światowy rynek urządzeń LTE będzie rozwijał się w średnim tempie 20 proc. rocznie – w 2013 r. w użyciu powinno być 270 mln urządzeń, w 2017 r. będzie 680 mln.

]]> Według firmy w ub. roku sprzedano 690 mln smartphone’ów, tj. o 47 proc. więcej niż rok wcześniej. Najszybciej rosły dwie kategorie – sprzęt z najwyższej półki w cenie detalicznej ponad 400 euro (ok. 1,7 tys. zł) oraz tanie modele za ok. 100 euro (ok. 425 zł). Zdaniem Berg Insight sprzedaż najtańszego sprzętu (za mniej niż 100 euro) będzie rosła najszybciej, na drugim miejscu pod względem wzrostu znajdzie się środkowy przedział cenowy.

Berg Insight przewiduje, że w 2017 r. zostanie sprzedanych 1,5 mln smartfonów z co najmniej dwurdzeniowym procesorem. Większość z nich będą stanowiły modele z czterordzeniowym CPU (w 2012 r.  miały niecałe 6 proc. udziału w rynku).
