]]> W programie Symanteca obniżono m.in. wymagania dla nowych uczestników. Aby otrzymać specjalizację w zakresie produktów dla małych firm, reseller musi obecnie osiągnąć 10 tys. USD przychodów w skali roku finansowego. Dodatkowym wymogiem jest posiadanie przynajmniej jednego pracownika z certyfikacją dla dwóch grup produktowych: programów do zabezpieczania stacji końcowych oraz aplikacji do backupu i odzyskiwania danych. Wcześniej reseller musiał zatrudniać dwóch certyfikowanych przedstawicieli handlowych oraz jednego specjalistę technicznego.

Nowością jest internetowe narzędzie do rejestrowania transakcji – Symantec Small Business Margin Builder. Umożliwia ono resellerom uzyskanie dodatkowej, 10-procentowej marży z tytułu kwalifikowanych transakcji. Zmieniono także zasady pomocy technicznej. Obecnie obejmuje ona bezpłatny, całodobowy dostęp do najważniejszych procedur wsparcia. W ramach programu partnerzy mogą otrzymać na własny użytek 50 darmowych licencji na produkty Symanteca, co pozwoli pogłębić wiedzę na temat funkcjonalności poszczególnych systemów i przekazać ją klientom.

Dla uczestników programu przygotowano kreator kampanii e-mailingowych. Partnerzy będą mogli korzystać z pomocy Symanteca w zakresie kampanii marketingowych obejmujących wszystkie rozwiązania dla małych firm.
