]]> Za 8 mln dol. SeaChange kupiła DCC Labs, spółkę zajmującą się tworzeniem oprogramowania i rozwiązań dla telewizji cyfrowej, m.in. dla producentów sprzętu elektronicznego oraz operatorów telekomunikacyjnych.  Wcześniej amerykańska organizacja zleciła wykonanie kilku rozwiązań DCC Labs. SeaChange kupił całość udziałów w spółce – 50 proc. należące do 7bulls.com i 50 proc. od jej prezesa Marka Kiełczewskiego, który jednocześnie objął stanowisko Senior Vice President Consumer Premises Equipment (CPE) Software w strukturze SeaChange International.

Transakcja została zamknięta 6 maja br. SeaChange International zapłacił za akcje DCC Labs gotówką i własnymi akcjami.

W każdej ze spółek grupy rozwijaliśmy i rozwijamy kompetencje i know-how w dziedzinach dobrze dobranych do potrzeb określonych grup klientów. Planujemy kolejne inwestycje, które też będą polegać na budowaniu unikalnych i solidnych kompetencji. Przypadek DCC Labs pokazuje, że duże międzynarodowe firmy tego właśnie chcą od branży IT – komentuje Konrad Wawruch, prezes 7bulls.com. 

Szef grupy liczy, że nowy właściciel zapewni DCC Labs rozwój zwłaszcza na światowych rynkach. 

Zespół DCC Labs to ok. 70 osób, które tworzą m.in. oprogramowanie dla dekoderów telewizji cyfrowych, aplikacje mobilne, interfejsy graficzne. W portfolio klientów DCC Labs są polscy i światowi operatorzy oraz nadawcy satelitarni, kablowi i IPTV.
