]]> Na serię Meru AP1000i składają się dwa modele: AP1010i i AP1020i. Wyposażono je w moduły radiowe pracujące w standardzie 802.11n, kompatybilne z 802.11a/b/g. AP1010i ma jeden moduł radiowy, a AP1020i – dwa. W urządzeniach zamontowano anteny wewnętrzne w systemie MIMO (multiple-input and multiple-output), umożliwiające przesyłanie sygnału w paśmie 2,4 GHz i 5 GHz.

Dzięki funkcji Virtual Cell wszystkie punkty dostępowe pracują na tym samym kanale bez wzajemnych zakłóceń. Konfiguracja sieci bezprzewodowej odbywa się automatycznie poprzez centralnie zarządzany kontroler. Urządzenia z serii AP1000i mogą również wykorzystywać technologię wirtualizacyjną Meru – Virtual Port oraz funkcję Air Traffic Control do kontroli i zarządzania ruchem w sieci.
Punkty dostępowe wyposażono w takie zabezpieczenia jak funkcję wykrywania obcych punktów dostępowych, ochronę przed intruzami w sieci i szyfrowanie danych kluczem WPA2.
