Stanowisko obejmie 16 września br. Zastąpi Thomasa Lipsa, który przechodzi do struktur centralnych Deutche Telekom, gdzie od 15 sierpnia br. odpowiadać będzie za obszar „IoT Delivery” – planowanie i wdrażanie usług powiązanych z Internetem rzeczy. Do tego czasu pionem TI w T-Mobile Polska pokieruje Andreas Maierhofer, prezes zarządu.
 
Petri Pehkonen ma duże doświadczenie na stanowiskach menadżerskich w sektorze ICT i wiedzę z zakresu rozwiązań sieciowych, w tym 5G. Ostatnie 7 lat spędził w firmie Elisa, gdzie jako CIO Elisa Corporation i wiceprezes odpowiedzialny za usługi hostingowe kierował strategicznymi projektami IT w obszarze transformacji cyfrowej. Zarządzał również m.in. jednostką biznesową ds. usług infrastrukturalnych w krajach nordyckich w Capgemini, był odpowiedzialny za nadzór projektów związanych z doradztwem IT oraz outsourcingiem.
