Poza tym część e-sklepów wymaga dodatkowego kodu albo hasła (system MasterCard SecureCode). Spółka zwraca uwagę, że nie da się wyprodukować fałszywej karty nie mając danych CVC1 zapisanych na pasku magnetycznym. Nie można także podrobić karty PayPass bez znajomości kluczy przechowywanych w mikroprocesorze.
