]]> W Polsce od rana nie działały dziś m.in. strony PKP, Biedronki, Jakdojade i dziesiątków innych dużych serwisów. Okazało się, że wszystkie są obsługiwane przez OVH. Padła również strona internetowa firmy hostingowej, nie było możliwości kontaktu online z pomocą techniczną. Problemy z dostępem do wielu witryn www wystąpiły także w Europie, a nawet na innych kontynentach.

CEO OVH, Octave Klaba wyjaśnia, że za awarię odpowiadają niezależne zdarzenia w dwóch francuskich ośrodkach data center. W Strasburgu wysiadło zasilanie – i to zarówno główne, jak i zapasowe, a w Roubaix błąd oprogramowania w sprzęcie sieciowym spowodował utratę konfiguracji i kłopoty z połączeniem tego centrum danych z innymi sieciami w Europie.

Jak poinformował, w Strasburgu zasilanie znów działa. Prace nad przywróceniem pełnej funkcjonalności ośrodka są w toku.

"Usługi dla klientów firmy są przywracane. Dla części klientów usługi i serwisy na nich hostowane są już dostępne. Czas przywrócenia pozostałych usług wyniesie od 5 minut do 3-4 godzin. System monitoringu OVH pozwala na bieżąco sprawdzać, którzy klienci nadal odczuwają skutki awarii – firma cały czas pracuje nad ich przywróceniem." – informuje CEO.

W Roubaix skorzystano z backupu konfiguracji oprogramowania, dzięki czemu data center znów jest dostępne. Obecnie awarię analizują eksperci OVH i dostawca software'u, szukając źródła problemu. Duże polskie serwisy są znów dostępne.

Octave Klaba zapowiedział, że OVH opublikuje wszystkie szczegóły techniczne dotyczące powodów obu incydentów. Awarie uderzyły w serce infrastruktury dostawcy. W centrum w Strasburgu funkcjonują 3 centra danych, a w Roubaix – 7.
