Sean J. Kerins będzie nowym CEO i prezesem Arrow Electronics. Aktualnie sprawujący te funkcje Michael J. Long zostanie przewodniczącym wykonawczym rady dyrektorów korporacji. CEO Arrow Electronics jest od 2009 r., a z firmą jest związany od ponad 30 lat. Zmiana wejdzie w życie 1 czerwca br.

Kerins obecnie pełni rolę dyrektora ds. operacyjnych w Arrow (od grudnia 2020 r.). W firmie jest od 15 lat. Wcześniej kierował biznesem rozwiązań komputerowych dla przedsiębiorstw, najpierw w Ameryce Północnej, a następnie globalnie. Poprzednio 10 lat spędził w EMC na stanowiskach kierowniczych związanych ze sprzedażą i usługami. Pracował też w Coopers & Lybrand Consulting oraz General Motors.

Barry W. Perry, główny niezależny dyrektor w zarządzie Arrow, mówi o wieloletnim planowaniu sukcesji.

„Przywództwo Seana i udokumentowane osiągnięcia w Arrow sprawiają, że jest idealnym dyrektorem na następcę Mike’a Longa” – twierdzi.

Arrow Electronics należy do największych światowych dystrybutorów. W 2021 r. wypracował 34,48 mld dol. sprzedaży (wzrost o 20 proc. wobec 2020 r.). Zysk netto zwiększył się blisko dwukrotnie, do 1,11 mld dol. Marża zysku brutto wyniosła 12,2 proc.

Z kolei w I kw. 2022 r. sprzedaż wyniosła przeszło 9 mld dol., rosnąc o 8 proc. wobec ub.r.

Znacznie wzrośnie popyt na złożone rozwiązania IT

„Zapotrzebowanie na złożone rozwiązania IT stale rośnie. Spodziewamy się znacznego wzrostu w tym obszarze” – skomentował tegoroczne wyniki Michael J. Long. Jego zdaniem dużej dynamiki można oczekiwać, gdy zostaną rozwiązane kwestie krótkoterminowych opóźnień projektów i nieukończonych przedsięwzięć, wynikających z problemów związanych z łańcuchem dostaw.
