Na moje pytanie o to, co jest ich największym marzeniem na ten rok, twórcy startupu odpowiedzieli: „naszym celem jest posiadanie pierwszego globalnie wdrożonego emitera koloru zielonego nowej generacji w urządzeniu końcowym jeszcze w tym roku. Mamy szasnę być pierwsi na świecie”.
Polsko-koreańskie R&D
W ostatnich miesiącach twórcy Noctiluca otworzyli w Korei Południowej własny dział badawczo-rozwojowy. Zwiększyli pięciokrotnie moce produkcyjne toruńskiego laboratorium. Podjęli współpracę z najważniejszymi instytutami badawczymi z Niemiec – Instytutem Technologii w Karlsruhe i Fraunhofer. Realizują projekt z Agencją Rozwoju Wysokich Technologii i Przemysłu na Tajwanie (ITRI). Podpisali umowę z japońskim koncernem chemicznym. Spółka zadebiutowała też na giełdzie NewConnect. I wiem, że im się naprawdę uda być pierwszymi.

Polacy mają szansę tworzyć kluczowe składniki urządzeń, z których korzysta absolutnie każdy z nas. Mało tego, robią to w najbardziej ekologiczny z możliwych sposobów. Popyt na smartfony, tablety, telewizory czy urządzenia wearables nie będzie malał, wręcz przeciwnie. Technologia OLED już staje się wiodąca. A to dopiero początek dla kolejnej generacji, którą tworzy zespół naukowców z Torunia. Pelagia Noctiluca jest fascynującym świecącym organizmem morskim, który do bioluminescencji wykorzystuje to, co organiczne. To ta zdolność do emitowania czystego światła przez żywe organizmy zainspirowała Polaków do badań, które zaowocowały tym wielkim ekologicznym odkryciem. Stąd nazwa firmy.
