]]> MF6140dn i MF6180dw zastępują serię i-Sensys MF5900. Obie drukują z prędkością do 33 str./min., mają automatyczny duplex. MF6180dw została standardowo wyposażona w łączność Wi-Fi, jest kompatybilna ze środowiskami druku postscriptowego. Maszyny umożliwiają bezprzewodowe drukowanie z urządzeń mobilnych (funkcje Apple AirPrint i Google Cloud Print). 

Wraz ze sprzętem debiutuje nowa aplikacja Canon Mobile Scanning for Business, kompatybilna z maszynami i-Sensys, imageRunner i imageRunner Advance. Umożliwia skanowanie dokumentów do urządzeń mobilnych oraz do chmury, wysyłanie ich pocztą elektroniczną, a także modyfikowanie ustawień skanowania, takich jak rozdzielczość, format pliku lub tryb kolorów. Za pomocą aplikacji można też zarządzać zeskanowanymi dokumentami zapisanymi w urządzeniu — zmieniać lokalizację plików, przygotować skany do druku albo udostępnić je za pośrednictwem innych aplikacji.

Nowa wersja aplikacji Canon Mobile Printing do systemu iOS obejmuje nową usługę konwersji danych, co według producenta gwarantuje, że dokumenty zostaną wydrukowane w prawidłowym układzie.
 
Oprócz aktualizacji aplikacji mobilnych Canon dodał wsparcie dla drukarek i-Sensys z obsługą MEAP do aplikacji Google Cloud Print for MEAP. Ponadto niektóre modele i-Sensys umożliwiają teraz druk z tabletów Windows RT. 

Według danych Canona 30 proc. personelu europejskich biur pracuje
dziś zdalnie, dlatego rośnie zapotrzebowanie na rozwiązania do mobilnego
