]]> Poszło o udział CEO IBM i Oracle'a – Ginni Rometty i Safry Catz – w spotkaniu z Donaldem Trumpem i decyzję o przyłączeniu się do zespołu szefów firm współpracujących z prezydentem – elektem (tzw. rada transformacji). W IBM część załogi wystosowała petycję do szefowej firmy. Twierdzi, że jest "zawiedziona" listem Rometty do Trumpa. Zapowiada, że nie przyłoży ręki do realizacji kontraktów z nową administracją rządową USA, które "naruszają swobody zagwarantowane konstytucją". Przed wyborami Donald Trump mówił m.in. o konieczności stworzenia rejestru muzułmanów i zaostrzeniu polityki imigracyjnej. Kilka koncernów IT już zapowiedziało, że nie pomogą w stworzeniu takiego rejestru.

Na znak protestu przeciwko kursowi zbliżenia z Trumpem ustąpił szef działu chmurowego Oracle'a, George Polisner. Tłumaczył ten krok nietoleracją prezydenta – elekta wobec kolorowych, muzułmanów i emigrantów. Jego decyzja nie powinna dziwić, bo Polisner był kierownictwie ruchu "Demokratyczna Koalicja przeciwko Trumpowi".
