Szefem firmy w krajach EMEA będzie Luca Rossi, który poprzednio zajmował się m.in. marką Packard Bell. Wcześniej ogłoszono zmianę na stanowisku prezesa Acera.

]]> Rossi dołączył do koncernu w 2009 r. jako dyrektor regionalny Acer Europe. W 2011 r. został dyrektorem działu marki Packard Bell. Był szefem działu produktów konsumenckich w regionie EMEA jako wiceprezes. Obecny prezes Acer EMEA, Oliver Ahrens, obejmie kierownictwo nowego regionu w Azji i na Pacyfiku. Zmiany na stanowiskach wejdą w życie 1 sierpnia 2014 r. 

W czerwcu Acer poinformował, że nowym prezesem koncernu będzie George Huang, jeden ze współzałożycieli Acera i wieloletni członek zarządu, zastępując Stana Shiha, któremu zaproponowano stanowisko honorowego prezesa. Zadaniem nowego szefa jest m.in. odbudowa pozycji Acera na rynku komputerów. W II kw. br. sprzedaż maszyn PC Acera spadła o 7 proc. rok do roku (według Gartnera). Do zajmującego 4. pozycję w światowym rankingu producenta zbliżył się Asus.
