]]> Duncan Tait, szef Fujitsu na region EMEA oraz obu Ameryk, przekonywał podczas Fujitsu Forum 2016, że firma nadal będzie rozwijać segment komputerów PC. – Jesteśmy wciąż zainteresowani, aby istnieć w tej części rynku, a poszukiwanie partnera mają na celu zwiększenie skali tego biznesu – mówił Duncan Tait.  Jednak szczegóły dotyczące współpracy z Lenovo są owiane tajemnicą.  Duncan Tait zapewniał, że umowa pomiędzy oboma producentami zostanie podpisana w ciągu najbliższych dwóch tygodni. 

Fujitsu w 2014 roku sprzedało 5,2 mln komputerów PC w 2014 roku, zaś rok później 3,74 mln. W pierwszej połowie bieżącego roku japoński producent upłynnił 1,84 mln urządzeń. 

Warto przypomnieć, że na początku bieżącego roku trzech japońskich  producentów – Toshiba, Vaio oraz Fujitsu planowało połączyć siły, aby przeciwstawić się dominacji producentów z Chin oraz USA. Niemniej firmy z Kraju Kwitnącej Wiśni nie osiągnęły porozumienia.
