Dodano kartę z interfejsami światłowodowymi, działającą również w trybie bypass. Urządzenie umożliwia transfer danych w standardzie SX, może zmniejszyć obciążenie serwera. FortiWeb-400C zastąpił model 400B. 

Wraz z premierą urządzeń producent zmodyfikował system operacyjny 4.0 FortiWeb MR3, wprowadzając zmiany obejmujące rejestrowanie, raportowanie, obsługę, zabezpieczenia i konfigurację.
