To, że Samsung postanowił zainwestować tak duże środki w Polsce, jest spowodowane bardzo wysokim poziomem wykształcenia technicznego i atmosferą sprzyjającą inwestycjom – mówi Dae-Hyun Sim, Dyrektor Zarządzający Centrum Badawczo-Rozwojowego Samsung Polska.

Wzrost inwestycji w badania i rozwój jest częścią globalnej strategii firmy. W 2000 roku Samsung otworzyło swoje pierwsze biuro badawczo-rozwojowe w Warszawie. Obecnie jest to jedno z największych centrów R&D w Europie Środkowej.  Drugie biuro zostało otwarte w Poznaniu w 2011 roku, a trzecie dwa lata później w Łodzi. W Polsce Samsung ma także fabrykę sprzętu AGD we Wronkach.
