]]> Wyrok sądu dotyczy decyzji wydanej w 2010 r. UOKiK uznał wówczas, że Centertel (obecnie Orange Polska) działał niezgodnie z prawem, utrudniając konsumentom przeczytanie umowy przed jej zawarciem. Firma wymagała podpisywania kontraktu przez klienta w obecności kuriera, co uznano za niedopuszczalną presję. UOKiK argumentuje, że konsument powinien mieć możliwość zapoznania się z wzorcem umowy przed jej podpisaniem.

Ponadto Centertel m.in. informował konsumentów, że nie mogą oni odstąpić od umowy zawartej na odległość, jeśli zgodzili się na świadczenie usług przed upływem 10 dni od zawarcia umowy. Domagał się także, by w razie rezygnacji klient zwrócił nierozpakowany telefon. Urząd uznał, że takie wymagania naruszają zbiorowe interesy konsumentów. Wyznaczył karę w wysokości 16,3 mln zł. Sąd obniżył ją do 13,94 mln zł. Za okoliczność łagodzącą uznano podjęcie przez Centertel negocjacji z firmą kurierską w celu zmiany sposobu doręczania przesyłek.
