]]> Jak podaje opublikowany dzisiaj raport BSA, 46% oprogramowania zainstalowanego na komputerach w Polsce nie posiada wymaganych licencji. Wynik ten stanowi spadek o 2 pkt. w porównaniu do poprzedniej edycji badania opublikowanego w 2016 roku. Szacowana, łączna wartość nielicencjonowanego oprogramowania zainstalowanego w Polsce w 2017 roku wyniosła 415 mln USD (447 mln USD w 2015 roku). 

Spadek wskaźnika jest w dużej mierze wynikiem nieustannej edukacji i rosnącego poziomu świadomości użytkowników odnośnie cyberzagrożeń związanych z korzystaniem z nielicencjonowanego oprogramowania. Ponadto przyczynił się do tego wzrost popularności usług oferowanych w modelu SaaS (Software as a Service), zwiększona implementacja rozwiązań SAM (Software Asset Management), ale też skuteczne egzekwowanie przepisów prawa w ramach ochrony praw autorskich do oprogramowania.
