]]> Postanowiliśmy skoncentrować się na rynkach o największych możliwościach. Dlatego zmniejszymy liczbę krajów, w których działamy bezpośrednio, do 76. W tych państwach generujemy 99,5 proc. przychodów – zapowiedział prezes HPE, Antonio Neri. Według niego umożliwi to większą koncentrację zasobów tam, gdzie można osiągnąć największe zyski. W pozostałych krajach HPE będzie działać poprzez dystrybutorów. Obecnie firma jest bezpośrednio obecna w ponad 160 państwach, co jest dziedzictwem rozbudowanej struktury HP sprzed podziału korporacji w 2015 r. Jednak według obecnego kierownictwa HPE, które stawia na większą koncentrację biznesu na kluczowych obszarach, takie rozdrobnienie nie jest potrzebne.

Ograniczenie liczby oddziałów następuje w ramach inicjatywy HPE Next, dzięki której koncern chce zaoszczędzić 1,5 mld dol. w ciągu 3 lat. Z tego ok. 700 mln dol. ma pójść na inwestycje w strategie sprzedażowe oraz na badania i rozwój.

Według CEO HPE, Meg Whitman, cztery czynniki wzmacniają firmę: inwestycje organiczne, inwestycje w partnerstwo, przejęcia oraz optymalizacja portfolio – jej elementem było wydzielenie usług korporacyjnych oraz oprogramowania do odrębnych spółek. Whitman podkreśla znaczenie współpracy z partnerami. "Nasz ekosystem partnerski jest absolutnie krytyczny dla naszej przyszłości" – twierdzi liderka HPE.
