Jasna przyszłość SDD

Choć dyski talerzowe nie zniknęły z rynku, to znajdują się w głębokiej defensywie, co doskonale widać chociażby na rynku komputerów. Wyniki sprzedaży z ostatnich lat oraz prognozy analityków nie pozostawiają złudzeń – przyszłość należy do pamięci flash. Według GFK Polonia w latach 2011–2021 w sześciu największych państwach europejskich sprzedaż pamięci masowych (stand alone) liczona w PB wzrosła ogółem o 75 proc. Jednak o ile w grupie HDD wzrost ten wyniósł 35 proc., o tyle w przypadku pamięci flash aż 1300 proc.

Szczególnie interesujący jest przypadek smartfonów. O ile w 2011 roku przeciętny model sprzedany na polskim rynku posiadał średnio 1 GB pamięć flash, o tyle w ubiegłym roku było to już 80 GB. W rezultacie pojemność pamięci instalowanych w telefonach komórkowych sprzedanych w Polsce w 2021 roku była aż o 1400 proc. większa niż w 2011. Dla porównania, w przypadku laptopów odnotowano 16-procentowy spadek.

Ciekawe perspektywy rysują się przed pamięciami NVMe oraz zewnętrznymi dyskami SSD. GFK Polonia szacuje, że ilościowy udział tych pierwszych w sprzedaży dysków SSD w Polsce wyniesie w bieżącym roku 24 proc., podczas gdy w 2019 roku wskaźnik ten wynosił 12 proc. Zewnętrzne dyski SSD będą stanowić 7 proc. wszystkich pamięci flash, które trafią w tym roku na rodzimy rynek, a dwa lata później już 14 proc.

Mogłoby się wydawać, że chmura publiczna, umożliwiająca strumieniowanie treści, a także magazynowanie danych, znacznie ograniczy sprzedaż nośników SSD oraz HDD. GFK Polonia jak na razie nie dostrzega tego zjawiska. Dlatego nie raz i nie dwa zastanawiamy się dlaczego, pomimo dynamicznego rozwoju usług chmurowych, ludzie nadal inwestują w pamięci.

– Przyczyniają się do tego cztery czynniki: brak wiedzy na temat możliwości przechowywania danych w chmurze oraz wygoda – chcemy mieć wszystko tu i teraz, a brak dostępu do internetu odcina nas od informacji. Pozostałe czynniki to koszty i postawy ekologiczne oraz obawa o bezpieczeństwo danych – wyjaśnia Maciej Piekarski, Client Business Partner w GFK Polonia.

Badania i prognozy GFK Polonia to miód na serce dla Samsung Memory, a w tym lokalnego oddziału tej dywizji.

– Otrzymaliśmy możliwość zarządzania regionem środkowej i wschodniej Europy. Polska staje się hubem i cieszymy się, że nasze kompetencje i zaangażowanie zostały docenione. Mam duże oczekiwania co do wzrostu sprzedaży, ale nie chodzi wyłącznie o liczby, ale też kontakty handlowe, które będziemy rozwijać na dwunastu rynkach – zapowiada Maciej Kamiński.

Dodaje przy tym, że Samsung Memory ma silną pozycję w retailu, ale nie zamierza na tym poprzestać. Dywizja planuje w ciągu trzech lat przynajmniej podwoić liczbę partnerów, a także wspólnie z integratorami wzmocnić pozycję na rynku zamówień publicznych.
