Wraz z nadejściem pandemii na menedżerów odpowiedzialnych za sprzedaż projektorów multimedialnych padł blady strach. Jak się później okazało, ich obawy nie były bezpodstawne. W 2020 r. rynek projektorów skurczył się o 16 proc. i był to najgorszy wynik w ciągu ostatnich trzynastu lat. Jednak już kolejny rok przyniósł ożywienie: według PAM w 2021 r. sprzedano w Polsce o 10 proc. projektorów więcej niż w fatalnym 2020. Znaczny wzrost odnotowano w segmencie projektorów z laserowym źródłem światła, a jednocześnie zaobserwowano wypieranie z rynku modeli o niższych rozdzielczościach. Liczba sprzedanych projektorów 4K wzrosła w ujęciu rocznym o 32 proc., zaś klienci biznesowi praktycznie nie pytali o modele poniżej 1080p.

Większość producentów przyznaje, że wyniki sprzedaży byłyby lepsze, gdyby nie trapiące całą branżę IT kłopoty z dostępnością komponentów. Specjaliści zwracają uwagę chociażby na niedobór chipów DMD, który znacznie ograniczył dostępność projektorów DLP. Niestety, wiele wskazuje na to, że to nie koniec tego typu problemów.

– Sytuacja nie wróciła jeszcze do normy. Pomimo polepszenia dostępności, zwłaszcza w drugim i trzecim kwartale, przewidujemy, że podaż wybranych kategorii projektorów będzie niezadowalająca nawet do końca roku – mówi Adam Kaczmarek, Product Manager w Exclusive Networks.

Trudności związane z dostępnością nie zawsze stanowią rezultat pandemii. Na przykład Sharp NEC miał trudności z zaspokojeniem popytu klientów na serię projektorów NEC PA w wyniku pożaru w japońskiej fabryce układów scalonych Renesas w marcu 2021 r. Jednak nie wszyscy uważają, że to właśnie zakłócenia w dostawach układów elektronicznych stanowią najpoważniejsze wyzwanie dla dostawców projektorów.

– Niższy popyt na urządzenia w ostatnich dwóch latach zsynchronizował się z ograniczoną sprzedażą. Sytuacja zmieniła się w drugiej połowie ubiegłego roku, kiedy to dało się odczuć braki wielu modeli projektorów. Jednak zawsze można sięgnąć do oferty innego producenta, ponieważ rynek nie lubi próżni. Obecnie powoli wracamy do czasów, kiedy znalezienie klienta stało się większym kłopotem niż pozyskanie towaru – podkreśla Adam Albiński, Managing Director w InterAlnet.

W bardzo podobnym tonie wypowiada Krzysztof Sulowicz, Country Manager BenQ CEE, który nie wierzy w ożywienie na rynku projektorów. Jego zdaniem rok 2022 nie będzie zbytnio różnił się od poprzednich, tym bardziej, że pojawił się kolejny poważny problem, jakim jest wojna na Ukrainie.

Pierwsze miesiące 2022 roku to kolejna próba powrotu do normalności. I choć wydarzenia na Ukrainie nami wstrząsnęły, to ludzie są gotowi pracować, spotykać się i żyć tak jak dawniej. Wychodzę i widzę zapełnione restauracje, kina, bary, świecące się światła w biurowcach. Dla jednych praca zdalna w pełnym wymiarze to przeszłość, do której nie za bardzo chcą wracać, podczas gdy dla innych stanowi nową rzeczywistość. Są jednak obszary, gdzie działania na odległość nie zdały egzaminu, czego najlepszym przykładem jest zdalna edukacja. Sprzedaż projektorów w tym momencie odzwierciedla niepewność co do przyszłości, ale z drugiej strony widzimy znaczącą poprawę względem dwóch poprzednich lat. To taka jazda samochodem na lekko zaciągniętym hamulcu ręcznym. Moim zdaniem projekty, które nie zostały zrealizowane w ciągu dwóch minionych lat, zostaną przeniesione na kolejne lata.
