Jeśli chodzi o ataki typu malware, to ostatni znany mi rekord całego procesu – od dostarczenia malware na komputer użytkownika do przejęcia całego systemu – wynosi około dwóch godzin. Czasami jednak trwa to wiele dni. Wprowadzanie kolejnych poziomów zabezpieczeń ma utrudnić podnoszenie sobie uprawnień przez przestępców.

Zgłaszają się do nas w większości firmy, które stały się już ofiarą incydentów związanych ze złamaniem zabezpieczeń. Jednym z głównych powodów takiego stanu rzeczy są ograniczone budżety działów bezpieczeństwa IT w polskich przedsiębiorstwach. Innym jest czynnik natury ludzkiej – w czasie pandemii wiele osób straciło pracę i przeszło na „ciemną stronę mocy”. Między innymi dlatego ostatnimi czasy mamy zwiększoną liczbę cyberataków. W większości dużych firm, które się do nas zgłaszają, nie ma polityki bezpieczeństwa obejmującej kwestie związane z IT. Jej brak ujawnia się w pierwszej kolejności po ataku celowanym. Drugim problemem w takiej sytuacji jest brak procedury „disaster recovery”, czyli spisanych procedur wznowienia, utrzymywania lub przywrócenia krytycznej infrastruktury teleinformatycznej po incydencie, który spowodował wstrzymanie jej pracy. Nawet jeżeli firmy mają politykę bezpieczeństwa, to często, niestety, jedynie na papierze.
