Sprzedaż domowych routerów na polskim rynku w pierwszym półroczu 2022 r. okazała się większa niż w ubiegłym. W dystrybucji w Polsce wzrosła o 3,4 proc. wobec analogicznego okresu 2021 r. pod względem wolumenów – wynika z danych Contextu. Analitycy wzięli pod lupę zarówno tanie modele konsumenckie, jak i urządzenia high-end, które według Contextu mogą znaleźć zastosowanie również w segmencie MŚP. Mniejsze są natomiast w tym roku zakupy przełączników domowych od dystrybutorów (-18,5 proc. rok do roku), w przeciwieństwie do urządzeń przeznaczonych dla MŚP (+30,7 proc.).

Tak czy inaczej, popyt na domowe rozwiązania generuje przechodzenie na Wi-Fi 6, związane z zapotrzebowaniem na wydajniejsze i bardziej pojemne domowe sieci.

Rosnącą popularnością wśród klientów domowych cieszą się także systemy mesh. Składają się one z kilku urządzeń z możliwością dodawania kolejnych, które rozmieszczone w domu zapewniają jednolitą sieć Wi-Fi o dużym zasięgu. Według specjalistów TP-Linka jest to obecnie najpopularniejsza kategoria urządzeń kupowanych przez klientów domowych. 

Co ciekawe, informacja o większym zapotrzebowaniu na systemy mesh idzie w parze z danymi Contextu, które mówią o tym, że w pierwszym półroczu w krajowej dystrybucji siadła sprzedaż ekstenderów (ponad 20 proc. rok do roku), co może być pokłosiem większej funkcjonalności sieci mesh.

Według specjalisty Synology istotne jest, aby różne urządzenia mogły ze sobą współpracować w jednej sieci mesh. Mając nowy router Wi-Fi 6 można wówczas wpiąć do sieci urządzenia Wi-Fi 5, które w ogromnej większości mają zasięg i maksymalne transfery wystarczające dla użytkowników domowych.

W tym roku sprzedaż routerów domowych jest niższa niż w ubiegłym. Wyjątkiem są modele gamingowe, w przypadku których widzimy utrzymujący się stały popyt. Wydaje się, że ci klienci mniej liczą się z kosztami. Generalnie niska jest świadomość konsumentów dotycząca domowych sieci. Wielu z nich nie wie co to jest Wi-Fi 6 i jak działa, a zakupem nowego sprzętu interesują się najczęściej dopiero wtedy, gdy pojawia się jakiś problem, na przykład sieć działa zbyt wolno. Niespecjalnie widzimy też zainteresowanie systemami mesh. Takie rozwiązania są droższe niż poszerzenie zasięgu sieci z pomocą ekstenderów, które cieszą się u nas sporym popytem.
