Wartość rynku IoT w regionie CEMA powinna osiągnąć w br. 14 mld dol. Najważniejsze rynki to monitoring transportu, automatyka przemysłowa i motoryzacja.
Region CEMA obejmuje Europę Środkową i Wschodnią, Bliski Wschód i Afrykę. Według IDC większość obrotów z Internetu rzeczy generują kraje CEE. W 2013 r. było to 60,2 proc.
Z ustaleń IDC wynika, że największe przychody z rozwiązań Internetu rzeczy w krajach CEE będą związane z monitoringiem transportu. Wartość tego rynku wyceniono na 1,2 mld dol. w 2018 r. Z kolei w całym regionie CEMA najszybciej rośnie IoT w motoryzacji, związany z połączonymi pojazdami. Obroty w br. powinny zwiększyć się w tym przypadku o 55,3 proc. Spory popyt spodziewany jest także w przemyśle, w związku postępującą automatyzacją. Przychody mają pójść w górę z 0,6 mld dol. w 2013 r. do 1,4 mld dol. w 2018 r., co oznacza średni roczny wzrost na poziomie 17,1 proc.
Dane obejmują 25 rozwojowych zastosowań IoT w 11 branżach, w tym w przemyśle, transporcie, ochronie zdrowia, administracji, handlu oraz przez użytkowników domowych.
