Wręczono Nagrody im. Marka Cara
Na XVI Forum Teleinformatyki wręczono Nagrody im. Marka Cara. Wyróżnienia są przyznawane za wybitne osiągnięcia w tworzeniu warunków do wdrażania nowych rozwiązań informatycznych.
Tegorocznymi laureatami nagród zostali Lesław Bańdur, dyrektor Biura Obsługi Informatycznej i Telekomunikacyjnej w Urzędzie Miasta Rzeszowa oraz Maciej M. Sysło, profesor Wydziału Matematyki i Informatyki Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego.
Lesław Bańdur otrzymał wyróżnienie m.in. za organizację budowy sieci szerokopasmowej w aglomeracji rzeszowskiej, natomiast prof. Maciej M. Sysło został uhonorowany za m.in. za opracowanie standardów kształcenia nauczycieli związanych z informatyką i wkład w edukację dotyczącą rozwiązań informatycznych.
Nominowanymi do tegorocznej Nagrody im. Marka Cara byli także Piotr Fuglewicz z Polskiego Towarzystwa Informatycznego, członek Komisji Terminologii Informatycznej Rady Języka Polskiego oraz prof. Jerzy Kisielnicki, kierownik Katedry Organizacji i Zarządzania w Wyższej Szkole Handlu i Prawa.
Nagroda im. Marka Cara jest przyznawana od 2002 r. Jej patronem jest dziennikarz tragicznie zmarły w 1997 r., popularyzator Internetu, współtwórca portalu Polska OnLine, jeden z pomysłodawców Rady Programowej Forum Teleinformatyki.
