Włamanie do Exclusive Networks
Francuski dystrybutor, który przejmie Veracomp, poinformował o incydencie cyberbezpieczeństwa.
Firma normalnie funkcjonuje – uspokaja VAD. Załatano lukę i zlecono sprawdzenie systemów na całym świecie pod kątem zabezpieczeń.
Wykryto włamanie w systemach informatycznych Exclusive Networks we Francji, Wielkiej Brytanii, USA, Singapurze i Zjednoczonych Emiratach Arabskich. Skutkiem był nieautoryzowany dostęp do danych – poinformował brytyjski CRN (channelweb.co.uk).
Nie doszło do zakłócenia bieżących operacji – uspokaja VAD. Dane partnerów i klientów również nie zostały naruszone – wynika z ustaleń firmy.
VAD z centralą w Paryżu zapewnia jednocześnie, że podjął niezbędne kroki aby usunąć lukę i poprawić zabezpieczenia. „Wszystkie systemy na świecie zostały sprawdzone, aby upewnić się co do ich integralności i skuteczności” – komunikuje. Zawiadomiono także odpowiednie urzędy odpowiedzialne za RODO.
Atak na firmę generującą ok. 2,4 mld euro przychodów (według danych za 2019 r.) byłby kolejnym na koncern z branży w ostatnim czasie. W USA w ataku poprzez SolarWinds złośliwe oprogramowanie wykryto w systemach potentatów branży, w tym Cisco, Intela czy Nvidii, a skala zagrożenia wciąż nie jest do końca znana.
Exclusive Networks przejmie Veracomp. Umowę w tej sprawie podpisano we wrześniu ub.r. Transakcja czeka na finalizację.
