Windows 9 po raz pierwszy w kwietniu
Nowy system Microsoftu o kodowej nazwie „Threshold' zostanie zaprezentowany na konferencji BUILD w kwietniu br. Na rynek wejdzie rok później.
„Threshold’ oficjalnie otrzyma oznaczenie Windows 9 – informuje Paul Thurrot na Winsupersite. Koncern nie określi nowych wersji jako kontynuację Windows 8, ze względu na mniejszą niż oczekiwano popularność systemu (zdaniem Thurrota aktualnie Windows 8.1 jest w użyciu na mniej niż 25 mln komputerów, co uważa on za katastrofalny wynik). Podczas BUILD za 3 miesiące producent ujawni plany dotyczące nowego Windows 9, ale przypuszczalnie wersja poglądowa jeszcze nie zostanie wypuszczona. W 'Dziewiątce’ według nieoficjalnych doniesień może zostać przywrócone klasyczne menu Start. Ponadto aplikacje interfejsu Metro mają działać także na pulpicie. Windows 9 powinien być gotowy w kwietniu 2015 r. Wcześniej, w tym roku, można spodziewać się pierwszego Service Packa do Windows 8.1.
