Vobis poinformował, że w 2010 r. sprzedaż smartphonów w sklepach sieci zwiększyła się o 35 proc. w porównaniu z 2009 rokiem. Klienci najchętniej wybierali aparaty HTC. Spółka przewiduje jeszcze większy popyt w 2011 r., ze względu na rosnącą popularność zaawansowanych telefonów, chłonność polskiego rynku i spadek cen nowych modeli.
Lista najczęściej kupowanych aparatów w Vobisie w 2010 r. przedstawia się następująco: 1. HTC HD2, 2. Apple iPhone 4, 3. Apple iPhone 3GS, 4. HTC Desire, 5. HTC Magic, 6. HTC Wildfire, 7. Nokia N8, 8. HTC HD7, 9. Nokia N97 mini, 10. Nokia 2700 Classic.
Prognoza Vobisu zakłada, że w 2011 r. liderami sprzedaży pozostaną HTC, Apple i Nokia.
Jeśli chodzi o systemy operacyjne, to udziały Symbiana spadają, ale w 2011 r. nadal będzie to najpopularniejszy system, choć według Vobisu w ciągu kilku lat zostanie zdetronizowany przez Androida. Rosną także udziały Windows Phone, ale produkt Microsoftu zapewne nieprędko zbliży się do liderów.
