VMware kupuje Nyansa, firmę specjalizującą się w analityce sieci z wykorzystaniem sztucznej inteligencji. Przejęcie ma ulepszyć jego platformę SD-WAN. Otóż Nyansa analizuje ruch sieciowy z ponad 20 mln urządzeń klienckich. Zakup poszerza możliwości VMware'a o kompleksowe funkcje monitorowania i rozwiązywania problemów związanych z wdrażaniem sieci LAN/WAN w rozwiązaniu SD-WAN – wyjaśnia dyrektor jednostki odpowiedzialnej za ten biznes.

Koncern przekonuje, że funkcje sztucznej inteligencji i uczenia maszynowego od Nyansy pomogą klientom w rozwiązywaniu problemów z wirtualną siecią chmurową. Platforma łączy narzędzia do monitorowania sieci w jedną platformę analityczną. Jest to też kolejny krok VMWare'a do zautomatyzowanych „sieci samonaprawiających się”.

Połączenie sił ma zbliżyć obie firmy do realizacji wizji napędzanej analityką i definiowanej programowo wirtualnej sieci chmurowej, która łączy klientów z kontenerami w rozproszonych przedsiębiorstwach.
