Extreme Networks
Veracomp, wyłączny dystrybutor urządzeń Extreme Networks, poinformował, że producent wprowadził na rynek nowy produkt – Summit X650. Jest to rozbudowany przełącznik standardu 10 Gigabit Ethernet. Urządzenie jest przeznaczone dla ośrodków przetwarzania danych. Summit X650 charakteryzuje się dużą liczbą portów (do 32 x 10 Gb/s w jednym urządzeniu o wysokości 1U). Wykonany jest w dwóch wersjach: 10GBaseT lub SFP+. Urządzenia działają pod kontrolą modularnego systememu operacyjnego Extreme XOS. Wyposażono je w technikę łączenia kaskadowego – SummitStack. Przełączniki w wersji SFP+ współpracują z łączami miedzianymi o długości do 10 m, moduły SFP+ SR i LR natomiast zapewniają łączność światłowodową na odległość odpowiednio 300 m i 10 km.
Ceny Summit X650 zaczynają się od 21 tys dol. Gwarancja – 1 rok.
