Producent wprowadził do sprzedaży nowy przełącznik Smart dla małych i średnich firm, wyposażony w 24 porty RJ45 10/100 Mb/s.
Przełącznik TL-SL2428 ma ponadto 4 porty RJ45 10/100/1000 Mb/s oraz 2 gigabitowe sloty combo SFP. Funkcja Storm Control chroni przed występowaniem zjawiska burzy rozgłoszeniowej (pakiety są wysyłane do użytkowników, dostarczone i wysłane ponownie, co obciąża sieć i urządzenia) pakietów Broadcast, Multicast oraz Unicast. Dostępna jest także funkcja QoS (Quality of Service) dla warstw od 2 do 4. Użytkownik może zmieniać ustawienia i konfigurację z pomocą przeglądarki internetowej lub protokołów SNMP i RMON. W przypadku funkcji warstwy drugiej, przełącznik oferuje obsługę standardu VLAN 802.1Q, izolację, mirroring oraz agregację portów, STP/RSTP/MSTP, kontrolę przepływu 802.3x.
