Po zapowiedzi przejęcia przez inwestora finansowego dystrybutor sam ruszył na zakupy.
Tech Data kupi Inflow Technologies – firmę VAD z centralą w Indiach. Dzięki przejęciu zamierza wzmocnić obecność w regionie Azji i Pacyfiku. Inflow generuje ok. 300 mln dol. rocznego obrotu. Ma ofercie ponad 40 producentów, ponad 2,3 tys. partnerów na świecie oraz ponad 7 tys. klientów końcowych. Zatrudnia 370 osób.
Warunki finansowe transakcji nie zostały ujawnione. To pierwszy większy zakup Tech Daty po podpisaniu umowy z Apollo Global Management. Inwestor finansowy zamierza przejąć Tech Datę kosztem 6 mld dol. Dzięki zasobom funduszu dystrybutor liczy na nowe środki na rozwój oferty i wzmocnienie pozycji na rynku. Finalizacja transakcji jest spodziewana w I poł. 2020 r. Według zapowiedzi z nowym właścicielem Tech Data zachowa strategiczną elastyczność. CEO Rich Hume pozostanie na stanowisku.
