Szefowa HP: połączenie Della z EMC wywoła chaos w kanale
Zdaniem CEO HP fuzja Della i EMC będzie sporym problemem dla partnerów obu firm. Skorzysta natomiast HP Enterprise.
Na początku tego tygodnia ogłoszono, że Dell kupi EMC za 67 mld dol. CEO HP, Meg Whitman w liście do pracowników HP Enterprise przekonuje, że w przypadku obu firm trudno będzie połączyć dwa różne programy i dwa różne podejścia, a chaos w kanale partnerskim pogłębi się przy próbie połączenia portfolio produktów. „To będzie uciążliwe dla ich działalności i wywoła zamieszanie. Klienci nie będą wiedzieć, czy produkty, które dziś kupią, pozostaną nadal wspierane za 18 miesięcy.” – stwierdza Meg Whitman w wiadomości cytowanej przez amerykański CRN. Kolejny wskazany kłopot to scalenie obu organizacji, liczących w sumie 200 tys. pracowników.
W ocenie Meg Whitman te zmiany są okazją dla HP, którą warto wykorzystać. Jej zdaniem HP o 2 lata wyprzedza działania konkurentów.
Z kolei według komunikatu Della i EMC poszerzenie portfolio dla partnerów i klientów oznacza o wiele większe możliwości zaspokojenia najważniejszych potrzeb związanych z IT.
