Szef NASK odwołany, jest nowy dyrektor

Po 9 miesiącach odwołano dotychczasowego dyrektora NASK. Premier powołał nowego szefa.

Nowy dyrektor zajmował się ostatnio rozwojem sztucznej inteligencji.

Wojciech Pawlak został nowym dyrektorem Państwowego Instytutu Badawczego NASK. Pracuje w NASK od lutego 2018 r. Nominację w imieniu premiera wręczył minister Marek Zagórski, obecnie sekretarz stanu w KPRM. Nowego dyrektora NASK powołał premier Mateusz Morawiecki, który jest nadal ministrem cyfryzacji, mimo wcześniejszych zapowiedzi tymczasowości takiego rozwiązania.

Wojciech Pawlak przejął stery NASK 18 listopada po odwołanym w tym samym dniu Kamilu Sitarskim, który swoją funkcję pełnił od końca lutego 2020 r.

– Obejmuję funkcję dyrektora NASK w szczególnie trudnym czasie z intencją kontynuowania najlepszych praktyk i wykorzystywania doświadczenia NASK w obszarze cyberbezpieczeństwa, telekomunikacji, IT, cyfryzacji i badań naukowych – deklaruje nowy dyrektor.

Wojciech Pawlak jest związany z NASK od blisko dwóch lat. Dotychczas zajmował się budową Centrum Zastosowań Sztucznej Inteligencji i Analiz Danych, Był liderem projektu Telemetria RPD, realizowanego na zlecenie KRRIT.

NASK pełni m.in. funkcję rejestru domen .pl. W jego ramach działa zespół CERT Polska, zajmujący się bezpieczeństwem sieci i reagowaniem na zagrożenia.
