Przychody korporacji były niższe zarówno wobec ub.r., jak i I kw. br.
W II kw. br. Asus według wstępnych danych wypracował na świecie bez mała 3 mld dol. przychodów – to o 7 proc. mniej niż rok wcześniej oraz o 9 proc. mniej niż w I kw. br. W pierwszych trzech miesiącach br. Asus również odnotował spadek obrotów – o 9 proc. r/r. w dol. tajwańskich (w przeliczeniu wyniosły 3,38 mld dol. USA), co wyjaśniał głównie umocnieniem lokalnej waluty.
Firma wyjaśnia, że wynik pociągnął w dół słaby popyt na komputery i mniejsze zakupy komponentów przez "kopaczy" kryptowalut. Według producenta znaczący wpływ na operacje firmy może wpłynąć konflikt handlowy między USA i Chinami. Również w III kw. br. niekorzystne kursy walut mogą obniżyć bilans producenta.
