Sony ma poważny problem
Japoński koncern Sony Corp. poinformował, że straty związane z jego działalnością filmową w roku obrachunkowym 2016, zakończonym w marcu, mogą sięgnąć ok. 976 mln dolarów, czyli 112,1 mld jenów.
Wcześniej koncern prognozował, że osiągnie 60 mld jenów zysku netto. Według agencji Kyodo na słabsze wyniki Sony może mieć również wpływ "kurczący się rynek płyt DVD i Blu-ray".
Japoński producent elektroniki prognozował, że w roku obrachunkowym 2016 zakończonym w marcu osiągnie zysk netto w wysokości 60 mld jenów. Jednak, jak przyznali przedstawiciele koncernu, ostateczne wyniki firmy zostaną skorygowane o szacowane obecnie łączne straty.
Według Kyodo w najbliższy czwartek Sony ogłosi dokładną wysokość zakładanej straty – w raporcie o zyskach za okres od kwietnia do grudnia 2016 roku.
Jak podaje agencja, strata w wysokości 112,1 mld jenów związana jest z oddziałem zajmującym się produkcją filmów i programów telewizyjnych Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc., który powstał w wyniku przejęcia przez Sony w 1989 roku wytwórni Columbia Pictures Enterteinment.
