Proxim Wireless rozszerza rodzinę produktów Tsunami o serię QB-8100. Urządzenia sprawdzą się w bezprzewodowej łączności typu PtP (punkt-punkt). Nowa rodzina produktów Tsunami łączy techniki MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) oraz OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) z WORP (Wireless Outdoor Routing Protocol).
Kompletny zestaw Hop-in-a-Box zawiera wszystkie elementy konieczne do wykonania łącza. Przy wydajności przesyłu do 300 Mbit/s Tsunami serii QB-8100 pracuje w pasmach częstotliwości 2,3-2,5 oraz 4,9-6 GHz.
QB-8100 przesyła sygnał wideo, dźwięku oraz inne informacje zabezpieczając je 128-bitowym kodowaniem AES. Ponadto QB-8100 oferuje port o przepustowości gigabitowej dla dodatkowej sieci Ethernet wyposażonej w port PoE.
Rozwiązanie QB-8100 jest w ofercie Veracompu w cenie SRP 4499 dol. Model objęto gwarancją na okres 12 miesięcy.
