Na rynku są nowe karty graficzne Sapphire z serii HD 5000 – modele HD 5870 i HD 5750. Wyposażono je w zmieniony system chłodzenia – Vapor-X, który został zainstalowany na kartach. Ma to obniżyć poziom wydzielanego przez nie ciepła i wytwarzanego hałasu.
Obie karty zostały wyprodukowane w procesie technologicznym 40 nm, współpracują z techniką przetwarzania obrazu Microsoft DirectX 11. Funkcja ATI Eyefinity pozwala na podłączenie jednocześnie trzech (sześciu w przypadku specjalnych wersji kart) monitorów przez złącza DVI, VGA, HDMI 1.3a i Display Port.
Zegary HD 5870 Vapor-X zostały delikatnie podniesione w stosunku do wersji referencyjnej: do 870 MHz dla rdzenia graficznego i 1250 MHz (5 GHz efektywnie) dla pamięci GDDR5. Pobór mocy wynosi 27 W w trybie 2D i maksymalnie 190 W podczas obciążenia. W przypadku modelu HD 5750 Vapor-X podniesiono fabrycznie zegary do 710 MHz dla procesora graficznego i 4650 MHz dla 1GB pamięci GDDR5.
Sugerowana cena detaliczna karty graficznej SAPPHIRE HD 5870 Vapor-X wynosi 1499 zł brutto, a HD 5750 Vapor-X – 549 zł. Karty objęte są dwuletnią gwarancją producenta.

W czwartek 29 stycznia prowizje interchange zostaną obniżone do 0,3 proc. w przypadku transakcji kartą kredytową i 0,2 proc. dla karty debetowej.
Spadną opłaty za transakcje kartami
Od nowego roku stawki interchange nie będą mogły być wyższe niż 0,3 proc. kwoty transakcji – zakłada projekt ustawy uchwalony przez Sejm.
