Do budowy swojej nowej karty producent wykorzystał rdzeń graficzny Radeon HD 5830, wyprodukowany w procesie 40nm.
Do budowy swojej nowej karty producent wykorzystał rdzeń graficzny Radeon HD 5830, wyprodukowany w procesie 40nm. Karta ma 1120 procesorów strumieniowych i 56 jednostek teksturujących. Rdzeń graficzny pracuje z częstotliwością 800 MHz, a 1 GB pamięci GDDR5 z częstotliwością 1000 MHz (przepustowość 4 Gbps). Nowy układ Sapphire działa w trybie Eyefinity, obsługuje biblioteki Microsoft DirectX 11 (w tym sprzętową teselację i DirectCompute 11) oraz wspiera odtwarzanie i transkodowanie materiałów wideo w jakości High Definition. Karta ma po dwa złącza CrossFire i DVI oraz po jednym HDMI i Display Port.
Do wyposażenia dodawanego do karty Sapphire dołączono kupon pozwalający na ściągnięcie i uruchomienie pełnej wersji gry Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
