Inwestycje w infrastrukturę 4G i 5G w korporacjach będą zwiększać się, i to mimo oszczędności związanych z Covid-19 - zdaniem IDC.
Sprzedaż routerów LTE i 5G zwiększy się w dwucyfrowej skali w 2020 r. – prognozuje IDC. Popyt będzie związany z zapotrzebowaniem w lokalnych oddziałach firm, rosnącym zastosowaniem urządzeń mobilnych i internetu rzeczy. Powinien rosnąć mimo presji na obniżenie wydatków na infrastrukturę sieci korporacyjnych w związku z pandemią – uważają analitycy.
Zakupy routerów 5G dołożą się do pozytywnego bilansu, ale ich wpływ do 2021 r. nie będzie znaczący. Przewiduje się, że pierwsze wdrożenia komercyjne tego rodzaju infrastruktury sieciowej nastąpią w drugiej połowie 2020 r.
W efekcie według IDC przychody na rynku routerów i bram 5G i LTE zwiększą się trzykrotnie w ciągu 5 lat, z ok. 979,3 mln dol. w 2019 r. do nieco poniżej 3 mld dol. w 2024 r.
Największy wzrost przewidywany jest jednak poza Europą – w USA i Azji.
