Chiński urząd ds. regulacji rynku wszczął postępowanie wobec grupy Alibaba w sprawie domniemanych działań monopolistycznych, w tym wprowadzenia „umowy na wyłączność”.

Z informacji wynika, że chiński odpowiednik UOKiK sprawdza, czy przedsiębiorcy współpracujący z gigantem są zmuszani do sprzedawania tylko na Alibabie i rezygnacji z handlu na konkurencyjnych platformach.

Nie będzie ponad 30 mld dol. z akcji

Największy chiński koncern internetowy znalazł się pod lupą władz wkrótce po tym, jak zawieszono pierwszą ofertę publiczną akcji Ant, spółki powiązanej z Alibabą, która liczyła na pozyskanie ponad 30 mld dol.

Jednocześnie sama grupa Ant też będzie się tłumaczyć. Otrzymała wezwanie organów finansowych do wyjaśniania sprawy polityki zgodności (obsługuje m.in. portfel płatności elektronicznych Alipay) i działań dotyczących ograniczenia problemu zadłużenia, po wstrzymaniu oferty akcji. Mają być poruszone kwestie działań rynkowych z „uwzględnieniem praw i interesów konsumentów”.

Zaostrzenie kursu ma pomóc branży

Chińskie władze najwyraźniej zdecydowały się przycisnąć koncern. Niektórzy obserwatorzy sugerują, że szef Alibaby Jack Ma jakoby nie cieszy się sympatią rządzących. Organ Komunistycznej Partii Chin jednocześnie uspokaja, że osłabienie pozycji Alibaby jest korzystne dla innych firm – ma jakoby pomóc w „zdrowym rozwoju” sektora platform internetowych. Czyli nie chodzi o uderzenie w całą branżę.

Alibaba w III kw. 2020 r. zwiększyła przychody o 30 proc. wobec analogicznego okresu ub.r., do 22,8 mld dol. EBIDTA wzrosła o 28 proc., do 7 mld dol. Zysk netto spadł o 60 proc., do 4,2 mld dol., co spółka wyjaśnia wysoką bazą z ub.r, związaną z jednorazowym zyskiem z tytułu udziałów w grupie Amt.

Koncern większość obrotów osiąga w Chinach. Na międzynarodowej sprzedaży detalicznej, czyli m.in. poprzez AliExpress, Alibaba wypracowała 1,15 mld dol. przychodów w III kw. 2020 r. – więcej o 30 proc. niż przed rokiem. Na sprzedaży hurtowej za granicę wzrost wyniósł 44 proc., do 517 mln dol.

60 proc. więcej z chmury

W III kw. 2020 r. przychody Alibaby z usług chmurowych były wyższe o 60 proc. wobec poprzedniego roku, osiągając sumę 2,2 mld dol., głównie dzięki większym przychodom z branży internetowej, finansowej i handlu detalicznego.
