Ruckus Wireless: Wi-Fi bez kontrolera
Producent chce pozyskać więcej klientów w MSP. Wprowadził nową architekturę sieci bezprzewodowej, nie wymagającą kontrolera. Ma to uprościć instalacje w małych i średnich firmach i zmniejszyć koszty.
Nową architekturę tworzą punkty dostępowe Ruckus Unleashed, zaprojektowane dla MSP. Małe firmy według producenta oszczędzają na zakupie, instalacji i konfiguracji oddzielnych kontrolerów i licencjach na punkty dostępowe.
Dostępne są dwa modele Ruckus Unleashed – ZoneFlex R500 oraz ZoneFlex R600. Wersje Unleashed są zbliżone do standardowych R500 i R600. Mają wbudowane funkcje kontrolera, tj. kontrolę dostępu użytkowników, zarządzanie połączeniami gości, zabezpieczenia oraz zarządzanie ruchem sieciowym. Każdy obsługuje ponad 500 urządzeń podłączonych jednocześnie. W sieć bez kontrolera można spiąć do 25 takich punktów. Punkty dostępowe Unleashed wykorzystują technologię Smart Wi-Fi, czyli m.in. technologię anten adaptacyjnych, automatyczną konfigurację urządzeń klienckich.
